Milo’s regional consumer marketing manager, Chevanne Lawrence, was pictured handing over a cheque worth for $4 million
The Western Relays have announced that they revived their sponsorship with Milo as their title sponsors. According to reports, the 44th staging will happen at the GC Foster College of Physical Education and Sport. This event will happen on Saturday, February 11, in St Catherine.
Milo’s regional consumer marketing manager, Chevanne Lawrence, was pictured handing over a cheque worth for $4 million. The cheque was received by chairman of the Western Relays, Ray Harvey. This happened during inauguration of of the 2023 meet at the Deja Resort in Montego Bay.
According to the chairman of the organizing committee, Ray Harvey, the relays will go back to being referred to as the Milo Western Relays. Harvey revealed that this deal is important because it will help Western Relays access a better budget. This money will be used to clear some of the pending bills.
Chevanne Lawrence also dispelled rumours that Milo had stopped working with Western Relays. He emphasized that Milo will always be a strong sponsor of this event. Lawrence said that Milo wants to be recognized as the energy food drink that is loved by champions. Milo hopes to help athletes reach their maximum potential.
This event was established in 1978 and it normally happens annually on the second Saturday of February.
This event is sponsored by sponsors like WATA, Custom Marble, Jamaica Olympic Association, the Sports Development Foundation, and Milo.
