Reggae Boy Omari Hutchinson Wins Player Of Month Award

Hutchinson has been having a breakout season in the EFL Championship, the second-tier league in England. He has a total of 5 goals and 4 assists in the league

Ipswich Town has recognized Omari Hutchinson as their Player of the Month. This award is for the month of February. The fan-voted award is under the sponsorship of Greene King.
Hutchinson has been having a breakout season in the EFL Championship, the second-tier league in England. He is on a season long loan from Chelsea FC.
Hutchinson was nominated for the award together with Kieffer Moore and Nathan Broadhead. The three players have been the main driving forces in the last one month. The team has drawn one and won four of their six games in February.
The Jamaican winger won the award after receiving more than 75% of all the fans’ votes. Kieffer Moore received the second-highest votes while Nathan Broadhead finished third.
In the last five games, the Chelsea loanee has either assisted or scored a goal. His consistency has been impressive because he has had to come in as a substitute on many occasions. His late goals have secured victories over Birmingham City and Rotherham United. He also scored a last minute goal to secure a draw in their match against West Bromwich Albion.
Hutchinson has a total of 5 goals and 4 assists in the league. He will be hoping that his brilliant performances will allow him to secure a starting spot in the team.
Hutchinson is now the fifth player to win this award. The other players that have won the award include George Edmundson, Leif Davis, Vaclav Hladky and Sam Morsy.
Ipswich are currently in the third position in the championship. However, they have the same amount of points as Leeds united who are sat in second.
Hutchinson said that he will keep fighting to win games even if it is in stoppage time. The 20-year-old forward said that his aim is to create havoc in the opponents defense. He said that he been scoring consistently because he has been working on staying calm in front of goal. Ipswich’s next game will be against Plymouth Argyle on Saturday.
