Charlton Athletic Working On Signing Jamaica’s Kaheim Dixon

There has always been an expectation that he’ll eventually move to a European club even before he began playing in the JPL

Charlton Athletic is on the verge of signing Reggae Boy Kaheim Dixon. The south-east London club is hoping that Dixon can add goals and assists in their team.
The “pacey 19-year-old attacker” is expected to ink a long-term contract with the English club. This means that the winger will be competing in the EFL League One; which is the England’s third division league.
Dixon broke into the scene when he delivered memorable performances in the DaCosta Cup. He spent the last season in the Jamaica Premier League where he scored 6 goals for Arnett Gardens Football Club.
According to Kevin Cowan; Dixon’s agent, the Jamaican has received interest from all sorts of of clubs. The clubs are based in the USA, Portugal, Denmark and Belgium.
“There has always been an expectation that he’ll eventually move to a European club even before he began playing in the JPL. We’ve evaluated all the possibilities and we believe we have made a good decision,” Cowan said.
Dixon is expected to join fellow Jamaican Karoy Anderson if he completes his move to Charlton Athletic.
The club has also been a home for other talented Jamaican internationals like Michael Hector and Ricardo Fuller. Hector left Charlton Athletic in June while Fuller was there between 2012 and 2013.
Dixon earned his first international cap when he was called up by coach Hallgrimsson in March. He was playing in a semi-final match in the Concacaf Nations League.
