Clarendon College Receives $500,000 From Andre Blake

The funds will be used upgrade the Clarendon College’s sporting facilities

Andre Blake has provided Clarendon College with a donation $500,000. This money will be used to renovate the institution’s football field. The Reggae Boyz captain decided to offer this donation as a way of giving back to his former school.
The cheque was presented in front of the daCosta Cup team and the school’s principal.
Blake managed to raise this funds with the help of the Supreme Ventures Foundation and the Sagicor Foundation.
The funds will be used upgrade the Clarendon College’s sporting facilities. These facilities require to be renovated because they want to host daCosta Cup games.
Blake praised the institution for shaping him into a successful footballer and a well-rounded human being. He said that he is honored to give back to the institution that he loves so much. “I believe that we can inspire the youngsters to succeed both in athletics and academics. Let them dream big,” Blake said.
David Wilson; the school’s principal, said that they were thankful for the donation. He insisted that he expects a positive impact in the institution’s sporting programs. “We are eternally grateful to the Supreme Ventures Foundation and Andre Blake for their generous contribution. Our students can now enjoy a world-class sporting experience,” Wilson said.
Blake has always had a passion for youth development and philanthropy. His donation to his former school is part of his initiative to nurture a new generation of leaders and athletes in the nation. Blake is the main goalkeeper for MLS side Philadelphia Union.
