The Reggae Boyz coaches believe that he can add some much needed creativity in the team’s midfield
Coach Steve McClaren has called up Tyreek Magee into the latest Reggae Boyz squad. McClaren and the other coaches believe that he can add some much needed creativity in the team’s midfield.
Magee has been in the sidelines for almost 12 months. The midfielder is excited about this opportunity and he has promised to make a big impact.
The midfielder has been having a productive season in the USL Championship. He has recorded 3 goals and 1 assist while playing for the Colorado Springs Switchbacks. He has recorded these numbers in a total of 13 appearances.
Some of the other interesting names that have been included are Lewis Baker and Isaac Hayden. Lewis Baker is a Chelsea academy graduate who currently plays as a midfielder for Championship side Blackburn Rovers. On the other hand, Isaac Scot Hayden currently has a contract with Newcastle United. He plays as a center-back or a defensive midfielder.
In addition to this, they have also included Mason Anthony Holgate in the latest squad. He is a defender who has a contract with Premier League club Everton.
Magee and the other players will be available in Jamaica’s latest fixtures. They will be playing against Nicaragua and Honduras. The first game is scheduled for 11th October while the second will happen on 15th October, 2024.
The inclusion of Magee will excite the Reggae Boyz fans because they have been calling for him to be reinstated into the squad. It shouldn’t be surprising that he is a fan-favorite because he is known for being entertaining and skillful.
In the past year, the Reggae Boyz wingers have been creating chances but the midfield has been void of any creative ideas. Magee said that he is glad that coach MClaren has noticed all the hard work that he has been putting in.
The squad is made up of the following:
Goalkeepers
Andre Blake, Jahmall Waite and Shaquan Davis.

Midfielders
Kasey Palmer, Bobby Reid, Karoy Anderson, Tyreek Magee and Joel Latibeaudiere
