Reggae Girlz To Compete Against France Without Khadija Shaw

She will miss the match because of passport issues

The Jamaican national women’s team is expected to compete against France in an upcoming friendly match. This match is expected to happen on 25th October, 2024.
However, it’s impossible not to notice that Khadija Bunny’ Shaw is missing from the squad that was announced by coach Hubert Busby. The squad will also be missing the services of defender Konya Plummer. According to Jamaican officials, the two key players will miss the match because of passport issues.
Shaw has started the season brilliantly and she is Manchester City’s current top scorer. She is hoping to replicate the form that saw her become the top scorer of the Women Super League. She also received many awards that recognized her as the best player in the league.
Shaw will also be hoping to remain healthy because she was forced to miss several games in the previous season. She was sidelined because of a broken foot.
Meanwhile, Busby’s squad is made up of two goalkeepers who are ready to face France on Monday. They include Sydney Schnider and Rebecca Spencer.
The list of defenders is made up of Maliah Atkins, Deneisha Blackwood, Chantelle Swaby, Vyan Simpson, Taylor Hinds and Allison Swaby.
The midfielders include Reanna Blades, Drew Spence, Lulu Jarvis, Sade Adamolekun, Jade Bailey and Atlanta Primus.
The forward line is made up Jody Brown, Mikayla Dayes, Natasha Thomas, Tiffany Cameron, Paige Bailey-Gayle, Davia Richards, Shania Hayles and Kayla Mckenna.
On Sunday, the local-based players are expected to travel to France together with coach Hubert Busby. The two teams will be meet on Friday. This international friendly will happen in France’s Stade Auguste Bonal stadium.
