JFF To Work With Authorities To Improve Security In The National Stadium

The Jamaica Football Federation has said that it’s committed to providing security for people who attend football matches in Jamaica. This statement comes after a recent case of insecurity in the National Stadium. It was reported that some delinquents had damaged some cars after Monday’s match between Reggae Boyz and Honduras.
There are several patrons who are seen inspecting their damaged vehicles on video.
According Dennis Chung; the federation’s General Secretary, they will use the help of authorities to improve the state of security in the stadiums.
The Island nation is expected to host several high-profile matches for the women’s and men’s team. These events are expected to take place in the upcoming months.
Chung revealed that JFF is in talks with the Jamaica Constabulary Force and Independence Park Limited (IPL). These institutions are currently investigating the incident.
According to the press release that was released by the JFF, they aren’t directly in charge of the security of the stadium. They revealed that it’s up to the IPL and police to secure the general car park.
Chung insisted that patrons will not have to worry about the security of their vehicles in future home games. Chung was speaking at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel.
The region outside of the stadium will be marked as designated parking areas.
The National Stadium will host first of the upcoming games. It will be a Nations League quarterfinals game that will involve the Reggae Boyz and the United States. This first leg match is expected to happen on November 14.
The Reggae Girlz will also compete against South Africa in two international friendlies. These games will happen in November 29 and December 2.
