Greenwood To Speak With Thomas Tuchel Before Switching To Reggae Boyz

According to reports, Greenwood will commit his future to the Reggae Boyz if Tuchel refuses to take him back into the England team

Mason Greenwood wants to know what Thomas Tuchel thinks of him before he commits his future with the Reggae Boyz. Tuchel was recently appointed as the head coach of the England national team.
Greenwood was kicked out of the England team by former head coach Gareth Southgate. He was also kicked out of the Manchester United squad. The two teams kicked him out after he was accused of assaulting his girlfriend.
However, he was able to recover his football career after the case was dismissed. He completed a move from Manchester United to Olympique Marseille in the previous transfer window.
It’s unclear how long it will take for Greenwood to receive feedback from Thomas Tuchel. The German is expected to begin his new coaching gig on January 1, 2025.
According to reports, Greenwood will commit his future to the Reggae Boyz if Tuchel refuses to take him back into the England team. The Jamaican national team has been speaking to the Olympique Marseille star over the past one year. He received an invitation from the Jamaica Football Federation as well as coach Steve McClaren.
The 23-year-old began the process of switching to the Jamaican team in August, 2023. However, the process wasn’t completed and everything is currently in limbo.
According to reports, Greenwood knows that there is a high likelihood that the England national will continue to reject. However, he is willing to take his chances. He has decided to take this path because he believes that England will give him a better chance of playing in the World Cup. This is understandable because the World Cup is the biggest competition in international football.
England has consistently qualified for the World Cup in the last few years. In fact, the nation has only failed to qualify for this tournament on three occasions. On the other hand, the Jamaicans haven’t qualified for this competition since 1998.
Greenwood that he is talented enough to help Jamaica qualify for future World Cup tournaments.
