MoBay United Remains On Top Of JPL After Draw With Portmore

Montego Bay United remains on top of the Jamaica Premier League although they were held to a 0-0 draw by Portmore United. This is their second consecutive draw in the league. The two teams were competing in the Montego Bay Sports Complex.
MBU is leading the JPL table with 13 points and they haven’t lost any of their last five games. They haven’t conceded any goal this season. They are followed by Waterhouse FC who also have 13 points. However, MBU is on top of the table because they have a superior goal difference. This is because they have scored more goals and conceded less. Mount Pleasant is third with 12 points.
Mt Pleasant has been on a run of three straight draws in the last few weeks. However, their last match was a 1-0 victory against Tivoli Gardens. They secured the win with a Kimonie Bailey goal that arrived in the 70th minute. This match was held in the Drax Hall. All the top-three teams have played a total of six games.
Dunbeholden and Humble Lion recorded their opening wins of the season, they defeated Harbour View and Molynes United respectively, by a margin of 1-0.
Humble Lion secured a 1-0 win against Molynes United. This result was secured by a late goal from Andre Clennon. This win now places them in the seventh position with a total of eight points.
Rodolfo Zapata; the head Coach of MBU, said that he is satisfied with his team’s performance. The Argentinian coach believes that his players delivered a hard-fought performance. He believes that his team will numerous victories if they continue putting in similar performances.
