ANOC Names Julien Alfred As Paris 2024 Best Female Athlete

This award now places Alfred among the most celebrated athletes in the world. She can now rub shoulders with the likes of Sha’Carri Richardson and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce

The Association of National Olympic Committees has declared that Julien Alfred is the Best Female Athlete. The sprint sensation was representing St Lucia in the recently concluded Paris 2024 Olympics.
This ceremony is organized by ANOC. The awards are meant to celebrate athletes that standout in the Olympic Games.
She won the prestigious award after emerging as the best sprinter in the 100m race. She won the race with a career-high time of 10.72 seconds.
The ceremony was held in Cascais, Portugal. The 23-year-old Alfred was in attendance to receive her award.
Alfred deserves the award because she secured gold and silver medals in the 100m and 200m races. She finished with 22.08 seconds in the 200m race. These two results have now established her as one of the world’s fastest women.
Julien Alfred’s victory was made sweeter by the fact that she defeated the world-famous Sha’Carri Richardson. Richardson came in as the favorite. However, Richardson got a chance to redeem herself by winning the Zurich Diamond League competition.
