Gayle Happy That Bygrave Has Ended His Goal Drought

Bygrave helped his team rescue a point by scoring in their latest match against Racing United

Marcel Gayle; the head coach of Waterhouse, is happy that Atapharoy Bygrave scored in the Jamaica Premier League. Gayle has been going through a goal-drought although he is the current top-scorer in his team.
Bygrave helped his team rescue a point by scoring in their latest match against Racing United. This game ended as a 1-1 draw.

He was on fire in the early stages of the season, scoring five times in the first five games. However, he has struggled to find goals in the last eight games. His latest goal means that he has ended a goal drought that has lasted for two months.
Coach Gayle said that he has been feeling sorry for the goal scorer. He described him as a ”victim of his own early success.”
Before his latest goal, Bygrave’s scored his last goal on October 21 while playing against Harbour View.
“Bygrave is a top marksman but it’s clear that the Jamaican league is very tough. He deserves his goal because he has been putting in a lot of work in training. Its normal that people have been criticizing him. He finished his goal after “maintaining his composure under pressure.”
Leonardo Jebbison, Javane Bryan and Andre Fletcher have been the main goalscorers during Bygrave’s dry spell. Bygrave will be hoping to continue with his goal-scoring form for the Drewsland-based team.
This result means that Waterhouse are in the fifth position in the table with 26 points. They slipped two places down the table after their draw with Racing United. They are six points behind leaders Mount Pleasant.

Nevertheless, Gayle said that he thinks could have done better. He believes that they could have won if his players were more clinical of goal. The WaterHouse players missed many opportunities to score.
“We can build on this performance moving into the next game. We will go for all three points in the next game. We just need to maintain our focus,” he said.
Meanwhile, Bygrave was grateful that his coach has been patient with him during the time that he wasn’t scoring.
“The coach urged me to have a strong mentality. He said that my goal would come as long as I keep working hard,” he said.
Waterhouse’s next game will be against leaders Mount Pleasant.
