Shericka Jackson Secures Second-place Finish In First 2025 Race

She was participating in the 60m at the Queen’s/Grace Jackson Development meet

Kingston, Jamaica – Shericka Jackson began her season by finishing second in the Queen’s/Grace Jackson Development meet. She was competing in the women’s 60m race in the National Stadium.

The 30-year-old Jamaican; who boasts of being the fastest 200m runner, finished with a time of 7.18 seconds. The race was won by Jodean Williams who finished the race with 7.15 seconds.

Jackson has been missing in action for the last six months. She has been sidelined by an injury. She missed the 200m and 100m races during last year’s Paris Olympics.

Her last race happened at the Gyulai István Memorial in Hungary. It happened on Saturday July 9, 2024. However, she was forced to withdraw from this race because of injury.

On the other hand, Kadrian Goldson emerged as the winner of the men’s event. He won with an impressive time of 6.65 seconds. The second position was taken by Tyquendo Tracey with a time in 6.70 seconds. The third position belonged to Gary Card after he finished with a time of 6.71 seconds.
