The Venue is Where Bolt Won Three of His Eight Olympic Gold Medals
Jamaican printing legend Usain Bolt is set to participate in tomorrow’s Soccer Aid game. The game will be held at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. This football has been organized by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
Bolt expressed his excitement to return the land where he dominated the Olympic Games 10 years ago. He revealed this information through an Instagram post. This will be Bolt’s fourth Soccer Aid for UNICEF in the London Stadium.
Bolt is the record holder of the 100m race and he is considered to be the fastest man of all time. Bolt will be participating in this celebrity charity match in a quest to raise funds for children in need. Bolt will captain the Soccer Aid’s World XI team in the UNICEF celebrity charity football match. This is the 11th staging of this event.
The many-time Olympic champion will be in a team full of famous retired football icons like Dimitar Berbatov (Manchester United), Cafu (Brazil), Andriy Shevchenko (Ukraine) and Patrice Evra (France). These team will also have superstars like two-time Olympic gold medallist Carli Lloyd (United States) and English songwriter and footballer Chelcee Grimes.
Bolt’s team will face off against an England outfit that contains English footballers Jamie Carragher, Teddy Sheringham, David James. Also, Italian football legend Andrea Pirlo, retired Manchester United star Gary Neville and former Czech Republic footballer Petr Cech. In addition to, team Great Britain’s football stars Eni Aluko, Anita Asante and Fara Williams; and four-time Olympic champion Mo Farah.
The event’s venue is also where Bolt won three of his eight Olympic gold medals.
