Brown, Born in the United Kingdom, was Initially an Attacking Midfielder for the Young Reggae Boyz
Exeter City FC’s striker Jevani Brown was overwhelmed with joy due to his call-up to join the Jamaican Reggae Boyz club for a tournament comprising four teams later this month. The tournament will be held in Austria. Brown said that this was a huge chance which he could not waste.
Brown, born in the United Kingdom, was initially an attacking midfielder for the Young Reggae Boyz. He has been playing in the English League One where he has secured three goals in the current season.
Nevertheless, he will not be available for one cup match and two league games during his stay in Vienna as Jamaica faces Qatar, Ghana and Morocco, all qualifiers of the World Cup. The matches are part of the mini tournament scheduled for August 20th to August 26th.
Matt Taylor, Exeter FC manager, revealed that he is proud of the 27-year-old as he also played for Jamaica in Mexico at the 2011 FIFA Under-17 World Cup. Brown also said that he has been playing in perfect coordination with teammate and forward Sam Nombe throughout this season. Nombe played a beautiful assist for a goal by Brown on Saturday at Cambridge United where Exeter lost 2-1. The two have totaled seven goals in four matches while working together this term. Be that as it may, the pair was inactive last season when Nombe could not play in two major spells due to a hamstring injury.
This season saw the duo form one of the most formidable strike units in tier three. They made Exeter get an advancement from League Two when they secured second place after Forest Green Rovers in May.
Brown joined Exeter in the 2020-2021 season after leaving Colchester United due to the Cambridge frustration. Exeter are presently ranked 11th in the standings and are closely followed by Forest Green.
