He has established himself as a regular goal-scorer in the English premier league
Bobby De Cordova-Reid has completed a transfer move to Leicester City. This move means that the Jamaican forward will no longer be a Fulham FC player.
The Reggae Boyz attacker recently represented Jamaica in the on-going Copa America tournament. Unfortunately, the Jamaican team was knocked out of the competition after falling to win any game.
This was an easy deal to complete because Leicester City acquired him on a free transfer. The 31-year-old winger’s contract is valid for the next three years. Leicester City is a newly promoted team that recently won the EFL Championship. The team is known for playing exciting football.
“It’s a special feeling to sign for Leicester City. The infrastructure and everything else looks nice,” said De Cordova-Reid.
He has a total of 209 appearances for Fulham FC. In 2020, he played a major role when Fulham secured promotion into the Premier League. He was also the top scorer when Fulham competed in the second division in the next season. He has established himself as a regular goal-scorer in the English premier league.
The Jamaican star’s first Premier League test will be on August 19, against Tottenham Hotspur.
Bobby Reid was born in Bristol, England. He was raised by a single mother, miss Decordova. He also shared a childhood with Marsha de Cordova, his older sister. He decided to represent Jamaica because of his Caribbean heritage.
Internationally, he has played 33 times for Jamaica. He was part of the squad that competed in the CONCACAF Gold Cup competitions in 2021 and 2023. He also featured twice in the 2024 Copa América tournament. He has a total of 6 goals in 33 appearances for his country.
Bobby is expected to start working with his Leicester team-mates in a couple of days. The team’s first pre-season game is expected to begin on 23 July. Leicester is expected to face off against Shrewsbury Town.
