However, this clash can only be setup if Messi and his teammates win their Round One match against Sporting Kansas City. This win will setup a Round of 16 match against the Jamaicans.

The potential showdown was confirmed during the prestigious regional tournament. The organizers conducted a draw that put the teams on a collision cause. The draw was conducted in Miami, Florida. Victor Montagliani; the Concacaf President, was one of the guests who attended the event. The tournament will be contested among 22 participating clubs.

The 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup is made up of clubs like LD Alajuelense (Costa Rica), Columbus Crew (USA), Jamaica’s Cavalier and Club America (Mexico). Club America will enter the competition as the seven-time champions.

There will be 11 matchups in the first round Concacaf Champions Cup. The pre-seeded teams will compete against the winners of Round One. This is expected to happen in March 2025. On the other hand, the quarterfinals are expected to take place in early April. In late April and early May, the teams will be involved in the semi-finals of the competition.
The final will be played on June 1, 2025.
