Champs travelers will enjoy discounted fares while the National Stadium will be covered with the airline’s banners

Caribbean Airlines is set to sponsor the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls’ Athletics Championships. This news comes following the announcement that the Sangster International Airport would be added to their Fort Lauderdale route. The airline made this announcement through a press release.

The airline has signed an agreement with the Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA).

“The airline has a passion for promoting youth development especially if it can be done through sports. We will offer transport for spectators, officials and athletes who will participate in this event. Our services will be available in the region,” read the release.

“Caribbean Airlines is pleased to work with ISSA to provide an ideal platform for athletes to shine in the Boys and Girls’ Championships. This event has built a reputation for nurturing some of the finest track and field athletes that the world has ever seen,” said Garvin Medera, CEO of Caribbean Airlines.

“Jamaicans know the importance of this iconic event. Champs is the heart and soul of our island. We want everyone to experience the electrifying energy of this event,” he said.

Champs travelers will enjoy discounted fares while the National Stadium will be covered with the airline’s banners. Champs will also advertise the airline through its media platforms.

Keith Wellington, the president of ISSA, was also full of praises for Carribean Airlines. “The ISSA Boys and Girls’ Championships will elevate its profile by associating itself with the airline,” he said.

“We will continue to build a tradition of excellence. We believe this is the only way to nurture athletes who can succeed at the highest level. Carribean Airlines is a perfect partner because they also believe in excellence and they have extensive networks in the region,” said Wellington.

The competition will run from March 25 to 29. There will be approximately 3,000 athletes who will come from at least 235 schools. They will be competing in all types of track and field events. The event will happen in the National Stadium.
