Cricket West Indies Appoints Chris Dehring As Their CEO

He was the best candidate from a pool of more than 50 applicants

St John’s, Antigua – Chris Dehring has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Cricket West Indies.
The Jamaican was chosen after going through a competitive process. He was the best candidate from a pool of more than 50 applicants. These applications came from the Caribbean, India, Afghanistan, Australia and Europe.


CWI insisted that the appointment was conducted after a meticulous, meritocratic interviewing process. The process was conducted by independent experts.
According to CWI, this appointment represents their commitment to recruit top-tier talent. He has built a reputation as a visionary leader who has found success in telecommunications, media, sports management and finance.
They believe that he is the right man to guide West Indies cricket towards growth and development.
Dr Kishore Shallow, President of CWI, was full of praises for Dehring. He described him as an business magnate, strategist, innovaton and dedicated advocate for WI cricket. He also described him as ”te best in class.”


WI fans will be hoping for a an exciting new era. He will be tasked with the responsibility of re-establishing WI among the dominant cricket teams.
Dehring has built a reputation as a pioneer in the world of sports business. He started the Caribbean’s first sports television broadcaster known as SportsMax. This media house has covered global events like the NBA and the FIFA World Cup.


He is the co-founder of Dehring, Bunting & Golding; an investment bank that has become a financial powerhouse. However, the institution is currently owned by Scotiabank. He also established ReadyNET, the nation’s premeire satellite internet provider. He also started Jamaica’s first digital tv. ReadyTV.
Dehring is expected to begin his job on February 1, 2025. He will work at the Coolidge Cricket Ground; the headquarters of Cricket West Indies. This office is in Antigua.
