Jamaica athletes are expected to begin their Olympic Trials on 27th June. Thompson-Herah has to race against time in order to get herself fit before this date
Flow Jamaica has wished Elaine Thompson-Herah a quick recovery following her recent injury. This message comes as no surprise considering she is their brand ambassador.
The Jamaican track and field superstar is currently undergoing a rehabilitation process. This injury couldn’t have come at a worse time considering she was preparing for this year’s Paris Olympics.
Flow launched an online campaign in response to the sprinter’s setback. The company encouraged Thompson-Herah’s fans to send positive energy towards her. This campaign was conducted across the company’s digital platforms.
The company posted videos of members of the public, media influencers and Flow staff wishing Elaine Thompson-Herrah a quick recovery. There were many heartfelt messages that showed that people genuinely cared for her.
In one of the video, Tami Mitchell and Wayne tell Thompson-Herah that “the biggest opportunities are created by our greatest obstacles.” A Flow employee who is known as Jevaughn reminded her that she “Jamaicans regard her as a huge inspiration for their lives.”
Latoy Lawrence, the Flow Head of Marketing, said that ”An athlete of Elaine’s stature has a strong character, but we’re here to encourage even the strongest among us. Moral support is for everyone. It’s our turn as Jamaicans to inspire her because she has inspired us many times before.”
The company said that the invitation to send positive messages is still open.
Flow launched their partnership with Thompson-Herah back in 2017. She is known for being the fastest woman on earth thanks to legendary time of 10.54 seconds in the 100m race. She is also the only female to win back-to-back 200m and 100m races in the Olympics.
Jamaica athletes are expected to begin their Olympic Trials on 27th June. Thompson-Herah has to race against time in order to get herself fit before this date. The Olympic games are expected to begin on 26th July, 2024. The tournament will be happening in Paris, France.
