Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw Among The Ballon d’Or Nominees

The Ballon d’Or ceremony will be held on October 28. Shaw was also shortlisted for the award in 2023

Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw is among this year’s nominees for the Ballon d’Or. The Manchester City striker has a chance of being declared as the best footballer in the women’s game if she wins this award.
The list of nominees is made up of 30 women who play for some of the biggest European soccer teams. Shaw was also shortlisted for the award in 2023.
In June, the Women’s Football Awards declared her as their player of the year. She also won the Football Writers’ Association and the Women’s Super League player of the season award.
Shaw was the best striker in the WSL with 21 goals in 18 games. She was recognized for her goal-scoring prowess with a Golden Boot award. However, she suffered from a broken foot that forced her out during the last days of the season.
The Ballon d’Or ceremony will be held on October 28. The venue will be in Paris, France.
