Jamaica’s Khadija Shaw starred in yesterday FA Cup clash which ended in a 7-0 score-line in favor of Manchester City. The citizens were playing against Sheffield United.
The Jamaican emerged as the Player of the Match in the FA Cup fourth-round clash. Shaw opened the scoring in the 16th minute when she received a sublime pass from Chloe Kelly.
Chloe Kelly grabbed the second goal in the 38th minute after arriving in the box just in time to finish a well-prepared cross from the left wing.
Deyna Castellanos chipped in with another goal in the 45th minute, giving Sheffield United no time to breath.
Khadija Shaw showed her goal-poaching abilities in the second half when popped up in the box to finish two more chances that saw her complete her hat-trick. Shaw’s goals came in the 51st and 87th minutes.
Julie Blakstad also jumped into the party with two second half goals in the 53rd and 78th-minute goals.
This performance is a perfect gift for Khadija Shaw who turns 26 on Tuesday. The Jamaican has settled comfortably in the Manchester City Women’s team after making a recent move from the French league.

Shaw’s and Manchester City’s next WSL match will be against Leicester City on Saturday, 4th February. They’ve also booked an FA WSL Cup semi-final clash against Arsenal on Wednesday, 8th February.
