Khadija Shaw Undergoing Recovery After Successful Surgery

Shaw was seen wearing a protective boot after breaking her foot when Man City faced West Ham in the WSL league

Reggae Girl Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw is recovering after going through a surgery on her foot. The Manchester City striker broke her foot during the club’s last clash against WestHam. The two teams were playing in the Joie Stadium
Shaw was seen wearing a protective boot in a picture with Jamaican Olympic star Usain Bolt. Manchester City confirmed that she would the rest of the season. Shaw has the club’s best player and she even scored in the clash against West Ham clash. However, she was forced to seek medical attention at half time.
Shaw scored two goals in the 3rd minute and in the 24th minute. These two goals ensured that she remained as the top scorer of the Super League. The 27-year-old striker boasts of 21 goals and 3 assists in the league. She also has 2 goals in the Women’s Champions league. Additionally, she has 1 goal and 1 assist in the FA WSL Cup.
Manchester City has been involved in tight title race with fierce rivals Chelsea FC. It remains to be seen whether the Citizens can maintain their momentum now that their talismanic striker is injured. The winner of the league will be decided in the next two weeks now that there are only 3 games left.
The Jamaican’s 21 goals mean that she is the main contender to win the league’s award for the best goal scorer – the Golden Boot. This is Shaw’s best season in club football having become the club’s record goal scorer in March 2024.
