Bailey is likely to make his comeback when Aston Villa hosts PSG on Tuesday, 15th April
Jamaican superstar Leon Bailey is expected to return from injury. The winger has been absent since March 12 when Aston Villa defeated Club Brugge by three goals.
According to Dr Rajpal Brar, Bailey is suffering from a painful injury that was picked up from a hard knock. The injury specialist revealed that Bailey has been forced to use a slow rehabilitation process because of pain. Once he feels better, he will be allowed to ramp up his rehab. Dr Brar is sports scientist and a physical therapist.
“I have seen many cases like these. It is either a contusion, which is a bruising that results in dysfunction and pain and and/or bone bruising. He will get better once the swelling dies down,’’ said Dr Brar. He was speaking to journalists who work for Aston Villa.
Bailey is likely to make his comeback when Aston Villa hosts PSG. The two teams will be playing in the second-leg of their EUFA Champions League clash. The game will be played at Villa Park. It will be played on Tuesday, 15th April.
The English club lost in a game that ended with a score-line of 3-1. Bailey could help Villa make a legendary comeback from their two-goal deficit.
He could lead Aston Villa’s counter-attacks. He is a direct dribbler who has the pace that can hurt PSG’s high defensive line. Coach Unai Emery will be hoping that he can revive his chemistry with striker Ollie Watkins.
Villa’s attack will be improved by Bailey’s ability to contribute from set-pieces and deliver precise crosses.
He could also help disrupt PSG’s rhythm thanks to his defensive work rate. This will allow Villa to build momentum and regain possession. Bailey puts in a lot of defensive, however; this is an area in his game that is often overlooked.
Bailey’s unpredictability might be what Unai Emery’s men need to knock out PSG.
