Messi Expected To Be Present In Inter Miami Clash With Cavalier

The Argentine superstar will travel to Jamaica together with his teammates. However, it’s not clear whether he is fit enough to compete for ninety minutes

KINGSTON, Jamaica — According to reliable sources, superstar Lionel Messi is expected land in Jamaica ahead of Inter Miami’s second-leg game against Cavalier. The two teams are participating in the round of 16 of the Concacaf Champions Cup today.

The 37-year-old missed an MLS match against Charlotte FC as well as the first-leg against Cavalier. Nobody was sure whether he would be part of the squad that would play in the National Stadium.

It is understood that Messi has recovered from a minor injury. He has even been training for the last few days.

“The World Cup winner will be part of the squad that will compete against Cavalier. He will be on the plane to Kingston,” said Javier Mascherano; the Inter Miami head coach.

However, it’s not clear whether he is fit enough to compete for ninety minutes.

In the first-leg, Inter Miami made light work of Cavalier and went home with a 2-0 advantage. The Jamaicans will have to cut this deficit if they’re going to win this tie.

The Jamaican fans will be happy that they will get a glimpse of Messi, even if he doesn’t get a chance to play. He is a popular player because many people believe that he is the greatest player of all times.
