Michail Antonio Expected To Leave West Ham

He is a transfer target for Major League Soccer and Saudi league clubs

West Ham United is expected to release Michail Antonio from his contract before the end of the transfer window. The Reggae Boy striker is going to leave as a free agent.
The 34-year-old star has established himself as an important member of the squad ever since he arrived in 2015. However, the club has decided to move in a different direction ever since David Moyes decided to resign from his coaching position. The Scottish coach was been replaced by Julen Lopetegui.
The Hammers have been looking to replace him with strikers like Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke and Bragga’s Simon Banza.
He remains a coveted asset because of his ability to score goals. He is a transfer target for Major League Soccer and Saudi league clubs. These clubs are looking for an experienced goal-scorer.
Antonio has represented the Hammers in 305 games, scoring 82 goals in total. He also scored 4 goals in 18 appearances for the Reggae Boyz. His last goal came against Ecuador in the 2024 Copa America.
Antonio recently discussed the uncertainty surrounding his future. He said that doesn’t know which club he will be playing for because football can be very unpredictable.
He admitted that there is a high possibility possibility that West Ham could cash in on him in the coming weeks.
Lopetegui intends to coach a new brand of football in West Ham United. The clubs has been recruiting plenty of fresh faces. Most of the players that have been linked to the club are suited to Lopetegui’s “possession” type of football.
Antonio will surely be excited by the idea of playing in Saudi Arabia. The Saudi is currently the highest-paying league. It therefore isn’t surprising that the league has attracted famous names like Christiano Ronaldo, Neymar and Karim Benzema.
