Oregon, United States — Nike has launched a huge banner to honor Jamaican superstar Shelly-Ann Fraser Pryce. The company has been sponsoring the sprinter’s career for many years.
Fraser Pryce has built a global brand because of the success she has enjoyed in her career. Some of her biggest achievements include three Olympic gold medals and five world titles. She remains the only athlete to secure five 100 m world titles —in 2009, 2013, 2015, 2019, and 2022.
ESPN was recently named in ESPN’s best 100 athletes of the 21st century. She finished in the 77th position behind fellow countryman Usain Bolt(9th). Most track and field fans consider her as the greatest female sprinter of all time.
The banner shows Fraser-Pryce celebrating after winning a race, it had the following message: “Been there, won that”. The banner is outside the company’s headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon.
Fraser Pryce is among the few athletes who have received banners on route to the Olympic Games in Paris.
This is the fifth time that Fraser Pryce will be competing in the Olympic Games. The sprint legend is part of the Jamaican team that includes 32 women.
Nike decided to honor Fraser-Pryce because she will hang up her boots after this tournament.
