Reid’s agent recently helped Kaheim Dixon complete a move to Charlton Athletic
Kingston, Jamaica — Estoril has have shown interest in young Reggae Boy Adrian Reid Jr. According to the agents of the Boyz Under-20 captain, the youngster impressed during his trials with the Portuguese team.
The defender’s agents are optimistic that they can help their client to secure a lucrative contract from the Portuguese Primera Liga team. They revealed that the try-out was successful although it only lasted for a short period.
Kevin Cowan , who represents the International Dymension agency, said that the player’s visit only lasted for a few days. This was because of visa limitation issues that they couldn’t avoid.
Cowan, who also serves as Kaheim Dixon’s agent, has built a reputation as one of the best agents in Jamaica. He recently helped Dixon complete a move to Charlton Athletic; an English League One club. The agency also represents Renaldo Cephas, who is based in Turkey.
Cowan told journalists that they decided to send Reid to the trials because this was “an opportunity of a lifetime.” They’re glad that they took this decision because Estrolil actually liked the player. He revealed that the Portuguese club is thinking about signing him.
Reid recently scored for JPL champions Cavalier SC. He also put some outstanding performance for the Boyz Under 20 team in the Concacaf Championships.
“The transfer window is coming to an end but I’m optimistic that we can have an agreement for the player. We’ll have a clear picture in the coming week,” Cowan stressed.
