KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Jamaica national team recently secured a 0-0 draw against Honduras. This win means that the Boyz have earned a spot in the Concacaf Nations League. They will be competing in the quarter-finals of this tournament.
The two teams were competing in the National Stadium. The Jamaicans were coming from a 2-0 win over Nicaragua. Before that, they had a 2-1 win over Honduras. These results helped the Reggae Boyz secure the top stop in Group B in League A.
The Reggae Boyz will advance to the next round after finishing on eight points. The next round will happen in November. The last draw against Honduras was hosted by Kingston’s National Stadium.
The second position was taken by Honduras who secured seven points. Trinidad and Tobago took the third position thanks to their five points. The top four positions were rounded out by Nicaragua.
The two teams played the match at a pedestrian pace in the first half and in the beginning of the second half. However, Kaheim Dixon and Renaldo Cephas brought pace when they were introduced as late substitutes.
