Reggae Boyz To Open Gold Cup Campaign Against St Vincent

Jamaica is set to be involved in the upcoming Concacaf Gold Cup campaign that will begin in 2025. The preliminary round will feature a match vs St Vincent and the Grenadines. This game will happen in March as part of the FIFA Match Window.


The Jamaicans finished in the Nations League quarterfinals and this earned them a spot in the preliminaries of the Gold Cup. The Boyz were knocked out of the Concacaf Nations League after the United States punished them in a 4-2 loss. This game was played at CITYPARK in St. Louis, Missouri. They had also suffered from a 1-0 loss in the first leg.
The Gold Cup preliminaries will be made up of seven home-and-away matchups. The teams will get a chance to play in the group stage if they win these games. The Concacaf rankings will determine how the teams will be matched against each other. The lowest-ranked teams will face the top-ranked teams.


The Reggae Boyz earned a second-place finish after the Nations League matches. They will now be matched against St Vincent and the Grenadines who finished as the 3rd-ranked team.

The winners of these games will compete against the top-seeded teams. This clash will happen in the Concacaf Gold Cup group stage
