Reggae Girlz Secure 3-0 Win Over South Africa

The two sides are expected to meet again on Wednesday at the Catherine Hall Sports Complex

The Reggae Girlz recently thrashed South Africa’s Banyana Banyana in a game that was played in Montego Bay. The game ended with a 3-0 score-line. The match was hosted by the Catherine Hall Sports Complex.

Siobhan Wilson put the Jamaicans ahead in the 28th minute. This was an impreressive fete because she was coming back from a serious injury. The goal was created from a corner kick situation.

The second goal was scored by Khadija Shaw who struck in the 55th minute. The Manchester City striker was in the mood for goals and it wasn’t shocking that she completed her brace in the 83rd minute.

This was Jamaica’s first home game since 2022. This was an impressive win considering that the South Africans are the African champions. This loss means that Banyana Banyana now have three defeats in a row. They have lost to England (2-1) and Denmark (5-0).
The two sides have only met each other two times. They went home with a 1-1 draw in their first encounter. This game was played before the Women’s World Cup.

Shaw has been missing in the Reggae Boyz squad for the last one year. She is having a wonderful season in Manchester City colors. In the last season, she was the best player in the Women’s Super League. She managed to score 22 goals before her season was stopped by an injury.
The two sides are expected to meet again on Wednesday at the Catherine Hall Sports Complex.
