Roshawn Clarke Puts In Valiant Performance In 400m Hurdles Final

The Jamaicans will continue hunting for medals in the ongoing Olympics

Roshawn Clarke delivered an impressive performance although it ended in the worst possible way. He was competing in the 400m hurdles final. The Jamaican finished with a ‘Did Not Finish’ result because he stumbled over the final hurdle.
Clarke was a favorite to clinch a medal when he reached the home stretch. He was unsuccessful although he ran past leaders Karsten Warholm and Rai Benjamin.
The gold medal was clinched by American Rai Benjamin. However, the race ended in a disastrous manner for rivals Jamaican Roshawn Clarke and Rasmus Magi of Estonia.
Clarke clipped the final hurdle with just 40 metres to go, he proceeded to crash down on the track. Magi also tumbled on the same hurdle although he wasn’t in contention to win the race.
Following the race, the Jamaican was consoled by Qatari athlete Abderrahman Samba and silver medalist Warholm. The athletes were competing in the Stade de France.
