Najhada Seymoure; who represents Excelsior High School, won the gold medal during the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls Championships. She was participating in the Class Two Girls discus event. The event was held in the National Stadium.
Seymoure won the event after throwing 45.14m. The second position was taken by Shamoyea Morris of Edwin Allen High. Morris threw 43.49m.
Victoria Christie of Camperdown High School threw 43.09m to finish in the third position. She also won the Shot Put on Wednesday.
