Alpine Skiing
Alpine skiing (also known as alpine skiing) is a type of skiing in which participants slide down a snow-covered hill using skis with fixed bindings.
Alpine skiing usually takes place at ski resorts, they provide ski lifts, artificial snow making, grooming, first aid and restaurants. Some of the equipment used are skis, bindings and boots.
The four main competitive types of alpine skiing are:
Slalom: it has short and tight turns, it is also the most technical, the distance between turns varies from six to fifteen meters.
Giant Slalom: It has medium turns; this is also a technical event
Super Giant Slalom – It is a speed event and has few turns, jumps are also provided for this type
Downhill: the fastest, the speed can reach up to 140 km/h, and it also has few curves. These courses have separate gates and skiers arrive at them at 100 km/h.
