Mayberry, who have funded the event for seven years, are hoping to discover future Jamaican superstars
Mayberry Investments Limited has announced that it will continue funding the SW Isaac-Henry Track Meet. This move proves that the company is still committed in sponsoring youth athletics.
The event is meant for young track and field athletes who are looking for a platform to develop their skills. The event will be hosted by the National Stadium. The competition is now in its ninth year.
Mayberry, who have funded the event for seven years, said that they are pushing their mission to invest in young Jamaican athletes. The company confirmed that their values align with the event.
“This meet is meant to be more than just a competition— Mayberry believes in fostering values like excellence, resilience and growth,” said Desiree Wheeler; the company’s marketing manager. Wheeler was speaking to journalists at the Spanish Court Hotel.
‘’Mayberry Investments believes that these are the type of events that promote greatness. There are many talented youngsters in Jamaica and all they need is an opportunity. We’re sponsoring this event in order to discover future Jamaican superstars.’’
Worrel Hibbert; the head teacher of St Andrew Technical High School, said that they are excited by the ongoing corporate sponsorship. “The beauty of this sponsorship is that it’s a long-term investment. The track and field programme can only be strengthened by this type of sponsorship,” he said.
