West Coast Fever Extends Contract With Beckford

The 29-year-old had a very successful breakout out season in which she scored 94 goals

Melbourne, Australia — West Coast Fever has extended their contract with Shanice Beckford. The Jamaican goal attack is expected to spend the 2025 season with the Australian side.
The 29-year-old had a very successful breakout out season in which she scored 94 goals, including 26 super shots. The team also includes her country mate Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard. The two Jamaicans will be hoping to help their team win the Suncorp Super Netball League in the coming season.
“The Suncorp Super Netball League has been good to me and I have enjoyed my first season,” Beckford said. “I am glad to have built long-lasting relationships different people in West Coast Fever. I have also grown my netball skills because of the environment provided by my coaches and teammates.”
“I can confirm that living in western Australia has been a life-changing experience,” he added.
“I can’t wait for the 2025 season to begin because I want to show of my skills. I’m excited to see what the future holds. I hope to build more chemistry with my teammates so that we can reward our supportive fans,” she added.
According to Sue Gaudion, the West Coast Fever General manager, the team is happy to have Beckford for another season.
“We believe that Beckford has the capacity to improve in the 2025 season. We love that she has adapted quickly in the league. She can continue delivering for this team,” Gaudion said.
“It’s the first time she’s in a professional environment but she is already playing at a high level. Her strong relationship with Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard will help her settle-in quickly,” Gaudion added.
